Jai’s first foray into filmmaking began as a young teen watching movies and listening to their musical scores. Inspired, he taught himself to edit music videos using iMovie.
During high school he learnt to use Final Cut Pro and after graduating he got a job as an assistant editor on ‘Enough Rope with Andrew Denton’ where he learnt to use Avid Media Composer.
He has been working in the industry ever since, with stints at a variety of production companies, including Shine Australia, Fremantle Media, Screentime and Warner Brothers. He has worked on many different series across a variety of genres, from the ‘The Voice’ to ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’
In 2014 he directed a short film which he also wrote, shot and edited.
At Mint, Jai shoots and edits teasers, sizzle reels and other content for a range of productions, as well as managing the media across all the company’s myriad of projects.
