Country Town Pride follows the inspirational story of Holly Conroy, a transgender truck driver, as she bids to stage a Mardi Gras in one of country’s most Christian towns: Wagga Wagga.

Holly has to confront priests, politicians, her neighbour and even her own family as she seeks acceptance for the trans community, all the while continuing her process of gender affirmation surgery.

It was produced and directed by Catherine Scott, written by Dan Goldberg, executive produced by Adam Kay, associate produced by Benjamin Strum and narrated by Magda Szubanski.

It was funded by SBS, Screen Australia and Create NSW. Flame is distributing this documentary.
