Mint’s latest award-winning documentary has been nominated for a BANFF Rockie Award in Canada.
‘Hitler’s Jewish Soldier?’, which premiered on SBS in 2024, was selected as a finalist for the best History & Biography documentary.
It is up against four other finalists – from the UK, France and USA.
The documentary was the highest-rating of SBS’s 2024 ‘Australia Uncovered’ season. It has since won several international awards and was transformed into a five-part podcast series by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Titled ‘Toy Soldier’, it was released in February 2025.
For the last 45 years, the Rockie Awards have recognised excellence in global TV and digital content. Entries from more than 45 countries are submitted each year, selected by an international industry jury of 150 TV professionals.
The winners will be revealed at the BANFF World Media Festival on June 9 in Alberta, Canada.
