Bushwhacked! – the smash hit kids TV format by Mint Pictures – has been nominated for the 2016 Logies.
It’s the second successive year that Bushwhacked! has been selected as a finalist in the Most Outstanding Children’s Program category.
The other finalists this year are Bottersnikes & Gumbles (Channel 7), Little Lunch (ABC3), Play Along With Sam (Nick Jr) and Ready For This (ABC3).
Series 3 of Bushwhacked! featured 13 new episodes shot in remote parts of Australia, following Kayne Tremills and Kamil Ellis as they attempted some more high-octane, adrenaline-fueled missions to save endangered native wildlife while celebrating Aboriginal culture.
Among the missions in this series, Kayne had to brush a bull shark’s teeth, give a platypus a pregnancy test, tail a wedge-tailed eagle and take a humpback shower!
It is Mint Pictures third Logie nominee; last year Brilliant Creatures (ABC/BBC) was also nominated in the Most Outstanding Factual Program category.
