Series 2 of Bushwhacked!, the smash hit kids TV format by Mint Pictures, has won more recognition, this time being shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Kidscreen Awards (for best kids non-animated or mixed series).
Bushwhacked! is up against another Australian production, World Animal Championships (Blacklab Entertainment), and Roy (JAM Media).
Judges will soon review the short-listed finalists and cast their votes. The winner will be announced during the Kidscreen Summit in Miami on February 24.
The nomination for series 2 comes on the back of a slew of similar nominations, including: BANFF (Canada), Association for International Broadcasting (London), Wildscreen (Bristol), Telas (Sao Paolo), Screen Producers Australia (Melbourne).
The format has been sold by the Australian Children’s TV Foundation to territories in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America, with more than 40 countries now airing series 2.
Mint is currently in production on series 3.
