Dan Whelan is a producer/director whose skillset includes development, shooting, writing, editing and post-producing.
Dan’s breakout film was Bulkland (SBS, 2017), a documentary exploring a Chinese market city and its inhabitants. It was broadcast across the world.
Dan has since worked as a creative producer across factual, lifestyle and documentary programming for ABC, SBS, Ten, Nine and Discovery Channel.
Some of Dan’s award-winning work includes Birdsville Or Bust (SBS, 2021), The Ghan: Australia’s Greatest Train Journey (SBS, 2019), and John Eales Reveals: The Haka (Discovery, 2017).
