Great Southern Landscapes, a six-part series by Mint Pictures for the ABC, has been nominated for Best Factual Series.

The series, hosted by award-winning actor and art lover Rachel Griffiths, was nominated for the award by judges at the annual Australian International Documentary Conference.

Great Southern Landscapes follows Griffiths as she celebrates six iconic Australian landscapes as she travels back to the exact sport where the artist captured their masterpieces.

It is competing against Stuff the British Stole (ABC) and The Australian Wars (SBS).

The winner will be announced at the AIDC conference in Melbourne on March 7.

GSL was directed by Ariel White and Daniel King, produced by Kirrilly Brentnall, series produced by Dan Goldberg and executive produced by Ariel White, Adam Kay and Rachel Griffiths.

It was funded by ABC, Screen Australia and Screen NSW.
