Mint’s latest feature documentary has won an award in Cannes.
The Hunt for the Last Nazis won best documentary feature (May) at the Cannes World Film Festival 2026.
It had been selected as a semi-finalist and finalist before the judges voted it as the winner in the best feature documentary category.
With exclusive access to never-seen-before classified government files and explosive video and audio recordings, The Hunt For The Last Nazis uncovers the scandalous story of how thousands of alleged Nazi war criminals hid in Australia after WWII and managed to evade justice – despite a last-ditch bid by a government-sanctioned Special Investigations Unit desperate to prosecute hundreds of them.
It will now compete in the annual competition for a chance to be screened in Cannes during the award ceremony.
The is the second time a Mint film has won best documentary at this festival. The Jewish Nazi? won in 2023.
