Pitch Battle, the one-hour documentary following the Palestinian team’s maiden voyage to Australia, has been selected as a finalist for the 2016 New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films.
The documentary was up against stiff competition from a slew of international production companies and networks, including the BBC and ESPN.
New York Festival’s World’s Best TV & Films competition honours programming in all lengths and forms from over 50 countries. The winners will be announced on april 19 in Las Vegas.
Pitch Battle was aired last year, opening the ABC’s 2015 season of Foreign Correspondent.
It has also won an award from the Australian Sports Commission and an Ellie award for best editing.
