Streets Of Your Town, a two-part arts series hosted by Tim “Rosso” Ross, will premiere on the ABC on November 8 and 15.
Rosso, a comedian, broadcaster and aficionado of the Modernist era, takes viewers on a tour of Australia’s suburbs asking the question – Modernism to McMansionism: how did we get here?
Beginning in Palm Springs, California – the epicentre of the 1950s Modernist movement – Rosso travels across Australia gaining access to some of our most epic homes – from Rose Seidler House in Sydney to Torbreck in Brisbane and Boyd Baker House in Melbourne – meeting their owners, peeling back their history and revelling in their beauty.
Streets Of Your Town is a Mint Pictures production, directed by Sally Aitken, and funded by ABC, Screen Australia and Screen New South Wales.
