John Eales Reveals: The Haka is a finalist for a New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films award.
The documentary, screened on Discovery Network in 2017, was selected as a finalist in the Sports & Recreation category.
It follows Eales, a former Wallaby captain, on his road to redemption two decades after he led the national team in snubbing the All Blacks Haka, the greatest pre-match ritual in world sport.
The awards receive entries from over 40 countries. Winners will be announced at the gala awards night on April 10 in Las Vegas.
Mint won a New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films award in 2016 for Pitch Battle, a documentary following the Palestinian football team on its maiden visit to Australia.
